ASI North America Achieves Associate Membership Status with Asia Pacific Accreditation Cooperation

ASI North America is proud to announce that we have been accepted as an Associate Member of the Asia Pacific Accreditation Cooperation (APAC).

This is a significant milestone in our commitment to delivering world-class accreditation services across diverse markets. It also marks a crucial step in our journey towards achieving full APAC membership and becoming an International Accreditation Forum (IAF) signatory. We are actively pursuing this next level of recognition directly.

Expanding Our Global Reach

This membership reinforces ASI North America’s position as a trusted accreditation partner for leading voluntary sustainability standards and initiatives. APAC currently has 62 Full Members across 33 economies, 8 Associate Members across 7 economies, and 16 Affiliates across 12 economies, representing a comprehensive network of accreditation excellence in the Asia-Pacific region.

Strengthening Our Mission

Since our founding in 2021, ASI North America has been dedicated to helping organizations bring their sustainability intentions to life with measurable environmental and social impacts. Our expertise spans forestry, human rights, fisheries, and other critical sustainability sectors, and this APAC membership further enhances our ability to serve clients with global operations and supply chains.

“This associate membership with APAC represents a recognition of the accreditation work that ASI has conducted over the years with the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO), the Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC), and the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC)”

Tyler Mahn Jones General Manager of ASI North America and Global Business Development Director at ASI.

Please note: Associate Members are organizations that already accredit conformity assessment bodies under ISO/IEC 17011:2017 and relevant IAF/ILAC requirements. While Associate Members are not yet MRA signatories, they are eligible for peer evaluation toward full APAC membership.

Looking Ahead

This membership aligns with ASI North America’s strategic focus on regional partnerships and responsiveness to market needs. As global supply chains become increasingly complex, our enhanced connection to the Asia-Pacific region ensures we can continue delivering the highest quality accreditation services wherever our clients operate.

We look forward to contributing to APAC’s mission of promoting confidence in accreditation and conformity assessment throughout the Asia-Pacific region, while supporting our clients’ sustainability goals on a global scale.
